This Saturday, July 4, at 9 am, the Net Result seafood market and restaurant will announce the winner of its 30th anniversary T-shirt design contest. The winner will be presented with a ceremonial oversized check for $1,000 worth of seafood at the market. The T-shirts, which have already been produced, are being stashed away in a secret location until the announcement.
The Net Result will commemorate its benchmark anniversary with the new design. The design contest began last summer, and went through spring. “Our 30th anniversary is July 4, 2015, so it’s a year away, but we wanted to get going early so summer people could participate. After all, we do the majority of our business in July and August,” Mr. Larsen told The Times last July.
The new design will be featured on the popular signature tees, which change design and slogan every five years or so. The contest marks the first time Proprietor Louis Larsen, a third-generation Island fisherman, has had a design competition for the shirts, which have been around in several iterations for the past 30 years.
