The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank has begun clearing the site of its new branch in Tisbury, off State Road opposite Cronig’s Market. The branch is scheduled to open in March 2016, subject to regulatory approval, and the complete redevelopment of the site is expected to be finished within the next few years, a press spokesman said.
“The location supports the Bank’s Green Initiative and strong commitment to the environment, as it is a previously developed site that will benefit from smart growth attributes, allow for the recycling and reuse of onsite materials, and accept the use of environmentally friendly materials and building principles,” the bank said in a press release. “Structures currently on the site will be removed. Work is expected to begin this month.”
Cape Cod Five said it plans to create jobs for six to 10 people at the Tisbury location.
