To the Editor:
On behalf of everyone from the Martha’s Vineyard Cancer Support Group (MVCSG), I want to say a huge thank you to Julia Celeste, Todd Christy (Chilmark Coffee) and Sean Fritsch (Shirt Tales) for all their hard work in putting on “Run Breast Cancer Out of Town.” This 5K run was held on May 7 to raise awareness of breast cancer.
Thank you to all of the 200 participants for your generous support — all the money raised was donated to the MVCSG, which provides financial assistance to year-round Island cancer patients for many different costs associated with their treatment.
We so appreciate all of the time and effort put in to make this event (hopefully an annual one) a success.
