Marianne Elizabeth Holmes Thomas died peacefully at her home in Ocean Heights in Edgartown on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday on July 4th.
Marianne was predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years, Donald Frederick Thomas, in April 2000. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Andrew’s Church, North Summer Street, Edgartown, on Monday, July 18, at 10 am. A private burial will follow in New Westside Cemetery. All are invited to a reception at her home at 19th Street North in Edgartown.
