You must be a registered voter to vote in the Tisbury election and to take part in the Tisbury town meetings. The last day to register in our town is April 5. The election is May 9. There will be an annual town meeting and a special town meeting, both to begin on April 25. Just to confuse the issue, you can register by April 13 to take part in the special town meeting, but you will not be allowed to take part in the annual meeting or the election unless you register by April 5. Our town clerk, Hillary Conklin, is very helpful. Drop by the office in the town hall to register to vote or get the answers to your questions.

Learn with Me is a monthly program that invites families to explore in a fun and educational way at various locations. Saturday, March 25, join the Martha’s Vineyard Family Center at John Keene Excavation to explore the “pits” and watch big machines at work, 9:30 to 10:30 am. Preregistration is required: mvfamilycenter@hotmail.com or 508-687-9182. I delight in our two very pretty granddaughters, no longer small, whose eyes still light up when they see the pictures of themselves standing inside one of the huge machines they visited years ago. Make a memory for your little ones.
