The fifth annual MV Wine Fest took over Edgartown last weekend, with world-class winemakers, local chefs, and food and wine lovers from all over. Approximately 500 attendees came together over the four-day festival to enjoy food and drink competitions, private in-home wine dinners, local culinary tours, and a lively grand tasting event that included more than 120 beer, wine, food, and retail vendors.
Wines were hand-picked throughout the weekend, and paired with food from local chefs for a series of unique food and wine experiences that co-founder Marnely Murray called “the best ever, of all five years.”
“It’s really a team effort, not just for the festival but for the months leading up to the event. I am so grateful to our local chefs and how the community really comes together year after year for us to make it all happen. My co-founder John Clift and I really appreciate the local support. Crane Appliances provided grills on behalf of our sponsor, DCS Appliances, and American Kitchen Cookware outfitted our chefs with the equipment to make our in-home dinners happen. Sand Castle Realty was a sponsor, and Point B Realty provided homes to host the dinners. Dockside Inn, Hobknob Hotel, the Sydney, the Christopher, and the Vineyard Square Hotel put up many of our chefs and participants. Plus we couldn’t have done it without our amazing volunteers. It really takes a village, but we couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out.” said Ms. Murray.
