I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of fun, family, friends, and food. We had a great few days, and a wonderful meal. It was a whirlwind visit with Riley, as he was here for less than 48 hours, but it was so nice to see him even briefly. It was great to have a few days off to get some errands and chores done, as well. I’d like to say I’m heading back into work Monday refreshed, but it was a busy few days. But I am definitely thankful.

Keith Chatinover was just elected as a new, and possibly the youngest ever, Dukes County commissioner. He has set his sights on being transparent and accountable to voters. As such, he will be holding seven town hall–style meetings, one for each county town. These meetings are public, free of charge, nonpartisan, and intended to be an opportunity for voters to ask Keith questions, give him words of wisdom or caution regarding his new position, and to interact with one of the commission’s newest members. The Edgartown meeting will be at the Edgartown library on Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 6 pm until 7:30 pm.
That’s all for this week. I’ve got to go catch a few winks. I’ve taken on a new dog as of this afternoon, and I’m not sure what the night has in store for us, other than the random barking that seems to come for no reason at all. Life with critters is always interesting. Have a great week.
