Martha’s Vineyard Bank has reopened its branch on Uncas Avenue in Oak Bluffs after renovation geared toward improving customer experience, James Anthony, the bank’s president, told The Times.

The branch, which had been closed for four months, opened on Saturday, June 29, after what Anthony called “extensive” renovations. Changes included a move away from the traditional teller line to an open floor plan that’s more aesthetically pleasing, he said.

“Everything was done to make it a more welcoming environment for customers, and to provide more efficiency,” Anthony said. “It turned out well. We’re experimenting with the experience of our customers to make it as positive as possible.”

The Uncas Avenue branch includes both lobby and drive up services. The branch is open Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm, Friday, 8 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday, 8 am to noon.
