In a Facebook post, the Edgartown Police Department announced it will hold a drive-thru lobster roll fundraiser on July 3 at the Edgartown School. The lobster rolls will be sold from 4:30 to 7 pm, or until the department runs out. There are no preorders, and the lobster rolls are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
The money raised will go to the Edgartown Patrolman’s Association, and “allow us [Edgartown Police Department] to continue our charitable work in the community,” the post states.
In a comment responding to a question about the cost of the lobster rolls, the Edgartown Police Department wrote that they are “crunching the numbers. The cost of lobster has increased significantly since our last event. Once we complete the order on our supplies, we will have a better idea, and share the cost.”
