Andrew Carroll, 30, pleaded not guilty Sept. 17 in Edgartown District Court to a felony charge of possessing child pornography.
Judge Benjamin C. Barnes set bail at $250,000 surety or $25,000 cash. Conditions include no unsupervised contact with anyone under 17 and staying away from the location of the arrest.
Publicly available court documents did not state what town Carroll is from or where the arrest occurred.
According to court documents, Carroll said he would hire a private attorney. A court-appointed lawyer appeared only for the bail hearing. A bail revocation warning was issued.
A pretrial hearing is scheduled for 9:30 am on Nov. 12.
