I like to walk my dogs in Menemsha and have watched what was a rental house slowly morph into a year-round home being completed for John Keene’s in-laws, who will move near their daughter’s family. I ran into Jimmy Morgan of Morgan Stone & Landscape there. We had met a few years back when I was interviewing his father at their Flanders Lane home and he stopped by for lunch. Now he was digging in greenery and clearing a new world emerging from an overgrown area that had an awkwardly placed picnic table sitting askew. He was doing a beautiful job, and just knowing that it would be another light on in the winter made my day.
