Big crowds came out for the 42nd Annual Christmas in Edgartown this weekend, which featured the annual parade, carriage rides, carolers, and plenty of revelers.

  1. Lived in Edgartown for most of my adult years and miss being there. Loved watching the huge waves crash on South Beach in the winter when no one was around.

  2. Worked for Everett Poole and son Donald for years at the fish market in Menemsha. Wife Virginia also. Think of them fondly. Was kind of sad when the Larsen’s took over the village.

  3. It was an important time when Everett started setting lobster traps again. Was the only time I ever saw him truly happy. And was lucky enough to have had the chance to weigh them up on the back scales in the breezeway.

  4. No one ever saw when my best friend Tom was playing with a Monkfish on the back dock, thinking it was dead, and it Bit him on the foot. They don’t let go. We had to cut away his boot to free him (and let it go, alive, to live on)
