It’s Dec. 12, 2025. A cold and blustery day. My sister Jenifer Stockdale was having a book signing for her book, “Trigger,” at the Bunch of Grapes. They moved from the old location to a building across the street. Jen came across on the boat about 4 o’clock and met us there. After the presentation, we helped Molly Coogan put all the chairs away and move the cabinets back. That’s when it hit me — all the toys we fell in love with as children — the Magic 8 Ball, the big pencil. I went from 72 back to 6 in nothing flat, and it was a magical moment as I reminisced.
