James Olin Fishbeck, 82, of Edgartown died peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
Jim Fishbeck was born in 1943 in Helena, Ark., along with his twin sister Jan, to parents Donald and Doris Fishbeck. The family settled in Lansing, Mich. after World War II.
Jim graduated from Everett High School in 1961 and earned a degree in electrical engineering from Michigan State University in 1966, later returning for an MBA. He worked for a year at Collins Radio, then had a 30-year career at Analog Devices, where he retired as director of corporate communications.
Jim was an avid pilot, learning to fly at MSU, and owning his own plane.
He is survived by his life partner, Lee Morgan; twin sister, Jan Heston; brother, John Fishbeck, niece, Jennifer Miller; great-niece, Dalayna Miller; and great-nephew, Wyatt Miller.
No funeral or memorial service is planned at this time.
