A Matter of Balance is back!
Staying active and independent starts with feeling confident on your feet. Whether you’ve experienced a fall, or worry about losing your balance, A Matter of Balance can help. This award-winning, evidence-based program gives older adults the tools, strategies and support to build confidence, improve balance, and reduce the risk of falls.
A Matter of Balance consists of eight small-group classes (eight to 12 participants) led by trained coaches who provide practical strategies and gentle exercises to help participants stay active and maintain their independence.
What you’ll learn
• View falls as preventable and manageable.
• Set realistic goals to increase physical activity.
• Identify ways to reduce fall risks at home.
• Improve strength and balance through gentle exercise.
Who should attend?
This program is ideal for anyone who:
• Is concerned about falling.
• Wants to improve balance, flexibility, and strength.
• Has experienced a fall.
• Has limited activities because of concerns about falling.
