Hospice and Palliative Care of Martha’s Vineyard (HPCMV) announces the launch of its newly redesigned website and new educational video.

The new website offers visitors a more user-friendly experience, making it easier to find information about hospice, palliative care, grief support services, volunteer opportunities, upcoming events, and ways to support the organization. Designed with patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community members in mind, the site serves as a comprehensive resource for information about HPCMV.

The video was created by Circuit Films, the documentary production company of Circuit Arts. Viewers hear directly from HPCMV staff, board members, patient families, and community grief counseling clients. Through their stories, the video illustrates the comfort, guidance, and support the HPCMV team provides.

“One of our challenges is that many people don’t fully understand what hospice and palliative care are, or when these services can help,” said Chantale Patterson, RN, BSN, executive director of Hospice and Palliative Care of Martha’s Vineyard. “We created these resources to make information more accessible, and to encourage our Island community to reach out early with questions, and make sure people know we’re here at any stage of serious illness.”

Visitors can also easily access information about services for individuals and families facing serious illness, grief, and bereavement support services for people of all ages, referral information, volunteer opportunities, charitable giving, and upcoming events.

“We want people to know that we are here not only at the end of life, but throughout the journey of serious illness and grief,” Patterson said. “Our hope is that these new resources will help more people understand the support available to them.”
