The Vineyard field hockey team is safely in the MIAA state tournament but lost out on winning the Eastern Athletic Conference Title with a 1-0 loss Saturday at Somerset Berkley.
The loss was the second to the Raiders in two weeks. The Vineyarders lost on a late second half goal in the team’s previous meeting on October 4 in Oak Bluffs.
The Vineyarders followed up with a 0-0 tie Tuesday afternoon at Barnstable in a non-league contest against the Red Raiders.
The team plays next on Saturday on Nantucket.
