The Martha’s Vineyard Surfcasters Association will sponsor a free kids fishing jamboree, from 9 am to noon, with lunch provided, at the Edgartown School on Saturday. Rain date is Sunday.
The event will feature learning stations where young fishermen will get instruction on casting, knot tying, beach fishing, and ice fishing.
The Surfcasters is a community beach fishing organization that promotes the sport and assists with beach conservation efforts.
