The Norwood branch of Professional Electrical Contractors (PEC) of Conn., won 2010 “Excellence in Construction” awards for work done at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital.
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Massachusetts presents the annual awards in recognition of the very best in merit shop construction, according to the trade organization’s press release. An expert panel of judges chooses the winning projects.
PEC won a Merit award and also a Green award, which recognizes successful efforts aimed at using sustainable and environmentally friendly construction methods and products.
The PEC team performed all of the electrical work in the new Martha’s Vineyard Hospital building and renovation to the existing facility, according to the ABC press release.
From preconstruction through final acceptance, PEC utilized nearly 30,000 man-hours on the 26-month hospital project.
