From amateur cooks in the high school culinary program to executive chefs at renowned restaurants, Island culinary artists showed off their chowder recipes at the 27th annual Chowder Contest during the Christmas in Edgartown Celebration weekend.
Immediately after the holiday parade on Saturday, many people began lining up at the tent set up in Mini Park on Main Street, anxiously waiting for the event to begin.
Restaurants offered a wide variety of seafood and clam chowders, and for many, voting for just one recipe was a difficult task.
At the end of the contest, the Wharf Pub took the title of the best chowder this year.
In the video, chefs share their recipes, and participants discuss their favorite chowder.
