Waiting for the perfect home

For both humans and animals, Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard plays a role of a safe haven and a comfort zone.

Many volunteers adopt animals from the shelter and keep coming back to help out because they appreciate the joy and love the animals give.

Many dogs and cats end up at the shelter because previous owners moved away or couldn’t afford to keep them anymore. Until they find a new perfect home, friendly four-legged companions like Missy the Pitbull and Annabelle the Tuxedo Cat play and learn new tricks.
