Friday

Island Thunder is a group of deejays dedicated to all things reggae. They know their stuff and bring it to the Dive Bar on Circuit Avenue in Oak Bluffs tonight. Carter Hakala, Spencer Binney, and Pinto Abramsm — AKA Island Thunder — present the best reggae the Island has to offer.

Gregory Porter, a grammy-nominated vocalist whose jazzy style has been on the top 50 Billboard jazz chart for 24 weeks, will be at Dreamland tonight. Tickets are $25, and the show starts at 9 pm. Dreamland is located above the MV Chowder Company near the Flying Horses in Oak Bluffs. For more information check here.

A Vineyard staple, The Mike Benjamin Band, brings their blues, funk and soul to Hooked, on the Oak Bluffs side of Beach Road.

Saturday

On Saturday the Dive Bar hosts an unusual event – The Spit Pit, an open sign up MC freestyle rap battle. The event is winner-take-all, and all are welcome to sign up before the event starts. Leave your writtens at home, bring a thick skin and words from the top of the dome, or just go to watch – it should be quite a show. The event is hosted by DJ Dills, and features performances by DJ Mingo Slice, Complex Humans, and Supernova Fieldtrip.

Sunday

On Sunday, Good Night Louise will play at Flatbread, located near the Airport off Edgartown–West Tisbury Road. The show is free, and Good Night Louise will play in the outdoor patio from 5 to 8pm.

All Weekend

Thursday though Sunday this weekend and next the Lampost will host the MV Comedy Fest. Well known comedians will perform from 8 pm to 9:30 pm, after which the Lampost will have their regular DJ dance parties.
