The Bishop Stang Spartans twice battled from behind to earn a 4-4 tie with Martha’s Vineyard Wednesday afternoon in an Eastern Athletic Conference tilt at the M.V. Arena.

Dave Skarbek lit the lamp with 5:06 remaining in the game to give the Spartans a share of the points.

The Vineyarders (10-3-1, 3-2-1 EAC) led 3-1 and 4-3 but could not hold the lead. Emerson Mahoney scored twice, once in the first period from Alexander Vukota and again in the second from Charlie Ashmun. Sam Burke scored in the first period, with the assist to Brian Fraser, who scored the final Vineyard goal in the waning seconds of the second period, from Sam Burke and Vukota.

The boys are back on the M.V. Arena ice Saturday at 5 pm against Bishop Feehan.
