Twenty-five Martha’s Vineyard athletes selected as EAC all-stars

Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School is well represented on the Eastern Athletic Conference spring sports all-star teams, announced today. Twenty-five Vineyard athletes on seven teams were selected.

The boys tennis team had all seven starters named to the all-EAC team: Nathaniel Schneider, Kent Leonard, Justice Yennie, Jackson McBride, Patrick McCarthy, Justin Smith, and Ryan Sawyer.

The Vineyard track team has six all-stars: Shavanae Anderson, Kevin Montambault, Maggie Riseborough, Michael Schroeder, Jeremy Alley-Tarter, and Joe Turney.

The girls tennis and girls lacrosse teams had four all-stars apiece. Samantha Potter, Annie Burton, Annabelle Hackney, and Julia Cooper made the grade in girls tennis; Alayna Hutchinson, Taylor Poggi, Isabel Smith and Molly Wallace for girls lacrosse.

Nick Costello and Liam Smith were selected in boys lacrosse; Emily Turney in softball; and Jack Roberts in baseball.
