Evelyn S. Britney died on January 4 at Trinity Hospital in North Augusta, South Carolina.
A native of Fall River, Evelyn spent much of her life in Connecticut, where she raised her family and often worked two jobs at once.She moved to Martha’s Vineyard in 1987. After working at the Martha’s Vineyard Co-op Bank for 10 years, she moved to North Augusta in 1997. She lived at the Leddges Retirement Community for 17 years.
She is survived by one son, Ray Brian Blanchette of Oak Bluffs; three daughters, Renee Carol Blanchette, Susan Jean Dils, and Betty Ann Pope; two brothers, Edward and Manuel Sardenta; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She will be missed by all who came to know and love her.
