George Whitmarsh Page of Guilford and Edgartown, died peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at his home. He was 84.
He was born January 7, 1930, son of the late Harry L. Page and Lavinia H. Page, and was a lifelong resident of Guilford. George was president and owner of Page Insurance, LTD until his retirement in 2008. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Maryellyn Welch Page, his daughters, Stephanie Page Bardwell (A. Clifford) of New Bern, N.C., Charlotte Page Johnston (Frank) of Fairfield, Conn., Connie Page Miller, of Washington, D.C., Jennifer Clark Page, of Guilford, Conn., Sarah Page Kyrcz (Robert) of Madison, Conn., and Martha Page (Frederic Boursier) of Warren, Maine, and his sons, George W., Jr., (Astrid) of Guilford and Geoffrey Alexander (Natalie) of Shoreview, Minn. In addition, his grandchildren Vincent III and Nicholas Gianfredi; Bradley, Bryan, and Kelsey Johnston; Lindsay Miller Pryor, Matthew, and Alanna Miller; Rachel and Shannon Page; Ana and Sophia Kyrcz; Amos, Zoe, Marieke, and Rowan Page and Kylie, Mackenna, and Nora Page and great grandchildren, Carina Gianfredi, Vincent Gianfredi, Gemma Johnston, Luella Johnston, and Dylan Pryor and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Harry L. Page, Jr., and sisters Anna Katherine Page, Mildred Coe, and Martha Bombaci.

Funeral services were held June 12 in the North Guilford Congregational Church, followed by burial in the North Guilford Cemetery.
