Martha’s Vineyard Youth Hockey’s MV 2 team defeated Brockton, 6-0, on Friday night. Goalie Oliver Lively earned a shutout with 17 saves. Alexa Pil scored twice, while Cam Geary, Will Bruguiere, Eli Gundersen, and Meghan Sonia each scored once. Felix Colon and Ava Bendavid were credited with assists. MV 2 is currently in second place in Foxboro’s Junior High League with an 8-4-1 record.
Martha’s Vineyard Youth Hockey’s Peewee team will be playing a State Tournament Playdown game against Falmouth this Sunday at 12:10 pm at the Martha’s Vineyard Arena. Fans are invited to show their support.
