Phil DaRosa of the The Print Shop (TPS) Presents announced plans for the second annual Martha’s Vineyard Sound Festival. The festival is scheduled for Saturday, July 11 with hopes to make it a two-day festival through July 12, and will once again take place at Waban Park in Oak Bluffs.

Mr. DaRosa said plans are to increase the footprint of the event at the park to better optimize the space and expand upon the offerings from last year. Confirmed musical acts include Ryan Montbleau, Crooked Coast, Parkington Sisters, Mieka Pauley, Dana Williams, Dwight and Nicole, Lynguistic Civilians, and additional acts will be announced.

The festival team is currently soliciting help and community support in the form of vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and more.

Mr. DaRosa made his announcement at the Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn show held this week at the Performing Arts Center. The performance was the first in the Martha’s Vineyard Sound series, an ongoing series of multimedia events on the Island. Part of the proceeds will help to produce the Martha’s Vineyard Sound Festival. TPS is also relying on community support to help provide property or venue space for upcoming Martha’s Vineyard Sound performances.
