I hope you didn’t oversleep, and have adjusted to the time change; more daylight is a welcome taste of spring to come. In the meantime, between the snows, rain, and occasional balmy weather, we’ll keep our fingers crossed that all those budding plants can handle being refrozen. The Chilmark School is gearing up for their PTO fundraiser on April first. They are accepting goods and services for their live and silent auctions. You can drop off gift certificates and items to Mary Kuh Ambulos in the reception area at the school, or call her for any questions at 508-645-2562.

Congratulations to Chilmark Police Sgt. Jonathan Klaren, who has been named our new police chief.

Food and drink are always available, thanks to Jenny and Todd Christy’s Chilmark Coffee and Morning Glory Farm’s chef Robert Lionette; enjoy music by Jeremy Berlin, Nate D’Angelo, the Pickpocket Bluegrass Band, and Cambridge-based concert violinist Katharina Giegling. Chilmarkers Nancy Aronie and Ronni and Peter Simon will reminisce about their experiences prior to the Sunday-evening screening of a movie about the Buddhist philosopher, “Ram Dass, Going Home.” Check the listings and buy your tickets at tmvff.org or call 508-645-9599.
