Can we teach our children to enjoy the burlesque without desensitizing them to the reality?
Your wife must be a saint
I would like to commend the Oak Bluffs Fire Department and other town departments for a job well done. Living on Ocean Park I watch the amazing transformation each August. It takes a lot of planning and hard work to put everything into place before the show, just as amazing is how well the audience is managed with respect and professionalism, perhaps even more amazing is that by 9 am the next morning everything is back to normal. It is a testament what can happen when everyone works as a team from planning, permitting, operations and getting information out to people. Getting young people involved planting signs and selling water provides a great educational experience. Much of the work I am sure is done by countless volunteers the unsung heros of the event. I would like to give a huge thumbs up to incorporating a handicap parking and viewing area with front row seating, it is clear that empathy is also part of the planning.
