Arlan Wise presents ‘What Is Astrology?’

0

Join astrologist Arlan Wise for her ‘What Is Astrology?’ workshop at the Chilmark library on Wednesday, April 17, at 5 pm. Astrology is a symbolic language that translates cosmic wisdom to practical use. This talk gives an outline of the basics of astrology, with keywords for the signs, planets, houses, and aspects. Arlan will discuss the different kinds of astrology and how they are used, and she will show a few charts as examples, and do a mini-reading for someone in the audience. There will be time for questions and tips for further study.

Arlan Wise, C.A.P. and OPA-certified, has worked as a professional consulting astrologer since 1978. She has been on the board of directors of OPA (the Organization for Professional Astrology) since 1994, serving two terms as president. She is currently OPA’s director of publications and an editor of the OPA’s journal, the Career Astrologer. Arlan was instrumental in setting up OPA’s Astrologer’s Retreats, a unique conference experience. Arlan gives writing workshops for astrologers at OPA retreats in various cities. She edits and reviews astrology books.
