The unofficial results of the Aquinnah annual town election are in.

Residents of Aquinnah voted 96-32 in favor of allowing the town to assess an additional $100,000 in real estate and personal property taxes to fund both the department budgets of the Up-Island and Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.

They also voted 104-23 to allow the town of Aquinnah to bypass the state law Proposition 2½ to pay a bond to repair the town hall parking lot as well as repair trim at the firehouse and replace siding and windows at the town office building in a 109-17 vote.

All races for town official seats were uncontested this year. Julianne Vanderhoop won for select board; Kayla Darcy won for town clerk, James Benoit won for board of health, Audrey Jeffers won for constable, Laura Jordan and James Newman won for planning board, and Tobias Vanderhoop won for library trustee.
