Mitch Gordon’s ‘Sea Level’ art exhibit is a first-person drift along the coastal plains. The sensuous rhythms of dunes, bluffs, and beaches extend far beyond the borders. Gordon shows 36 16- by 20-inch canvases, displayed in three rows of 12 panels. Each canvas is a complete work, a separate meditation, and each grouping tells a story, growing to symphonic scale. Opening July 3, Turpentine Gallery, 554 State Road, Tisbury. mitch@turpentinegallery.art.
