Kayla Jo Gault Parkhurst, of Martha’s Vineyard, passed away on July 29, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Kayla was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Although Alzheimer’s slowly took pieces of the woman she had been, it could never take away the love she gave, the memories she created, or the place she holds forever in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
A celebration of Kayla’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared when arrangements have been made.
