April 16, 10 am: In the first couple of centuries, Friends (as Quakers are called) did not celebrate any religious holidays. Today, though Quakers still regard all days as equally holy, we cheerfully join in many of the customary holiday traditions. We have no ordained minister or priest, and there will be no prepared sermon on Easter Sunday, but when we gather to worship, we will wait in expectant listening for what the Spirit within us all has to teach us, as we do on every Sunday at 10 am and every Wednesday at noon. There may well be words of resurrection and hope. We are confident of inspiration and spiritual sustenance.
