The St. Mary’s Spartans of Lynn slogged out a 14-10 win over the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School (MVRHS) boys lacrosse team Friday under a steady drizzle on a moist and muddy Dan McCarthy Field in Oak Bluffs.
The Spartans scored seven goals in the third quarter to wipe out a 6-4 Vineyard lead and seize control of the game.
Jack Garrett and Jacob Gundersen each tallied three goals and an assist to lead the Vineyard attack. John Morris notched two goals and an assist. Riley Amaral and Sam Wallace added a goal apiece, and Colby Zarba had three assists.
The Vineyarders (1-4) host Bishop Feehan in a pivotal Eastern Athletic Conference tilt on Tuesday afternoon at 3 pm.
