It was a busy week at Memorial Field in Vineyard Haven as MV United leagues faced teams from around the state.

The U18 boys remain unbeaten after a 6-3 win over Nantucket on Sunday. This latest win leaves them on the top of their division, with only three games left to play.

The U18 girls were defeated by Westport 2-1 and bested by Swansea Somerset 2-1.

The U16 boys battled second-place Taunton on Sunday afternoon to a 3-3 draw. Goals were scored by Chris Da Silva, Moushe Oliveira, and Emanuel Silva. Jacob Maccaferri anchored the defense with help from Adam Knight and Manuel Hernandez Burnham.

The U14 boys fell to Fall River 2-1, and the U13 boys played Seekonk to a 1-1 draw. The U11 boys were defeated by Norton 3-1, and the U12 girls were slammed by Barnstable 4-0.

MV United will host several home games this weekend. All games are played at Veteran’s Memorial Field in Vineyard Haven.
