Who is your Healthy Agers champion?
Do you know someone who goes above and beyond to support older adults on Martha’s Vineyard? Healthy Aging Martha’s Vineyard (HAMV) is seeking nominations for our annual Healthy Agers Champion Award!
This award recognizes an individual who helps older adults thrive through leadership, advocacy, service, collaboration, or innovation. Whether they are a volunteer, caregiver, neighbor, community leader, professional, or simply someone who makes a meaningful difference in the lives of others, we want to hear about them. Help us celebrate the people who make Martha’s Vineyard a stronger, healthier, and more connected community for older adults.
Nominations are open through November, with the 2026 Healthy Agers Champion honored in December. To nominate, email laurenbagnall@hamv.org.
For the online form, visit hamv.org, navigate to “What We Do,” then click on the “Healthy Agers Champion Award” page.
Your voice matters: Take the Community Health Equity Survey
Your experience should help shape the future of your community.
Across Massachusetts, decisions are made every day about community needs, priorities, programs, and resources. The Community Health Equity Survey (CHEI) gives you an opportunity to share your experiences, needs, and hopes for the future.
Your responses help local organizations better understand the needs of their communities, advocate for equitable policies, apply for funding, and develop programs and services that make a difference. At the state level, survey data helps identify health and social needs, address inequities, and ensure resources reach the communities that need them most.
The survey is:
• Voluntary and completely anonymous
• Does not ask for identifying information such as your name, phone number, or email
• Allows you to skip any question
• Combines responses with others so individual answers remain anonymous
To take the survey, visit mass.gov/community-health-equity-survey, or for a printed version, contact Cindy Trish at HAMV, 508-618-5134.
