Maria Barros
Maria Barros is a rising senior at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School and a proud member of the vibrant Brazilian community on the Island. She entered the world of journalism as a writer and editor through the high school newspaper club, The High School View, which is published in The Martha's Vineyard Times. Maria is working at The Times as the recipient of the Tony Horwitz Internship, and loves covering stories that bring the community together. When she isn’t reporting, Maria can be found taking a stroll along the beach, volunteering at the food pantry, and hanging out with her family and friends.
