To the Editor:
Last weekend, a group of spirited tennis players from across the Island came together to help raise money to purchase tennis uniforms for the boys and girls high school tennis teams. This event was the result of a coordinated effort by the members of Martha’s Vineyard Community Tennis and Vineyard Youth Tennis. As a parent of a high school tennis player, I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to both of these organizations for their generosity and dedication to promoting the game of tennis on Martha’s Vineyard.
Because of their efforts, our boys and girls can represent the high school with pride and spirit during their competitions.
A sincere thank you to Leslie Craven, Doreen Rezendes, John Cahill, Sarah Moore, and Kelly Hess for organizing the event. And to Scott Smith, Mike Halisky, and Nina Bramhall for generously hosting both teams and all of the participants.
