To the Editor:
I applaud last week’s editorial advocating a potential park, instead of a commercial development on the Lagoon in Tisbury. Here is a quote from that piece: “The town selectmen ought to be leading the effort to take the property — and pay for it — for public recreational purposes.”
If the editor is a true advocate of public recreation, then why hasn’t the editor taken the same attitude with the West Tisbury selectmen? West Tisbury denies public walk-on access to Lambert’s Cove Beach, a town park. Silence is my validation. End beach apartheid.
