Monday, on the Dan McCarthy athletic field, the Vineyard Junior Varsity football team played host to the Cape Tech jayvees and treated them to a 22-0 whuppin’.
After a scoreless first half quarterback Alec Tatersall scored the first Vineyard TD. The try for a two-point conversion failed. Later Tatersall scored again on a two-yard plunge, Tayman Brown added two extra points and MV led 14-0. Moments later, Brandon Watkins intercepted two Tech passes and returned one to the end zone. Tayman added another two points and it was 22-0, the final score.
Andrew Jacobs Walsh was a rock on defense.
