I don’t know why Easter and brunch go hand in hand. You hardly ever hear of anyone talking about Easter dinner and certainly not Easter breakfast. So brunch it is, and why not? Any opportunity for eggs Benedict and Bloody Marys is a good opportunity. Here is a list of places to check out this Sunday afternoon.

State Road Restaurant in West Tisbury is reopening on Thursday, April 5, after their winter break. Sunday will be dedicated to brunch (no dinner service) and while the menu is still in the works, it promises to be spring-inspired. Call 508-693-8582 for details.

The Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown is hosting their annual Grand Easter Brunch Buffet starting at 10 am in Water Street Restaurant. The lavish brunch display will include a carving station, omelet station, and raw bar featuring local oysters in addition to cold selections such as salads, seasonal fruit, a cheese board, vegetable quiche and smoked salmon with accoutrements. Hot selections include organic chicken breast with spring potatoes and blue lake beans, and New England cod cakes with dill and capers. Dessert will follow for those who save room. Brunch is $48 for adults and $24 for children under 12.

The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 10:30 am on the front lawn of the hotel and is open to the public. Thanks to the Martha’s Vineyard Museum, the Edgartown Lighthouse will be open for tours. Time to dust your Easter bonnet off and be sure to wear it to the Easter Egg Hunt, as the best bonnet will be rewarded. Call 508-627-3761 for reservations.

Farm Neck Café in Oak Bluffs reopens on Friday, April 6, and will serve a buffet brunch on Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm. In addition to waffle and omelet stations, brunch will feature a nice mix of breakfast and lunch: scrambled eggs, bagels, assorted pastries, a carving station, veggie lasagna, and stuffed cod. Brunch is $24.95 for adults and $17.95 for children under 12.

To kick off the season, Farm Neck is also bringing back Happy Hour with $5 appetizers Thursday through Saturday from 3 to 6 pm. Call 508-693-3560 for brunch reservations.

Lambert’s Cove Inn and Restaurant in West Tisbury is serving Easter Brunch from 11 am to 3 pm. The planned menu features brunch favorites such as eggs Benedict, salmon salad, and steak and eggs while chef Max Eagan will also prepare specialties like Nutella-stuffed French toast with caramelized bananas, fresh strawberries, applewood smoked bacon and Vermont maple syrup, in addition to a breakfast BLT: two eggs, crispy bacon, heirloom tomatoes, and baby arugula pressed between two extra large croissants served with home fries. Brunch is $35 for adults and $25 for kids. Call 508-693-2298 for reservations.

Lastly, The Grill on Main in Edgartown opens its doors from 11:30 to 2:30 pm this Sunday for a brunch menu including a roast leg of lamb, Virginia ham, a carving station, baked cod, cream of asparagus soup, house-made salads, homemade desserts, and more. Reservations (suggested) can be made by calling 508-627-8344. Brunch is $38.95 for adults and $15.95 for children under 12.
