To the Editor:
I received an envelope in today’s mail with no signature and no return address. Enclosed were several personal notes that had slipped out of my wallet on the Steamship Authority ferry on December 11 — including my next jury duty assignment.
Also enclosed was an unsigned message, in beautiful handwriting, on “Toys for Tots” notepaper. I don’t know if the envelope’s contents were returned by a conscientious SSA employee or by a fellow passenger, but I am grateful. God bless us, every one.
