Tisbury School Harvest Festival is Sunday

The Tisbury School will host its annual Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 13th, from 3 pm to 5 pm on the school grounds.

The festival includes a potluck supper, hayrides, pumpkin decorating, face painting, games and more. The Harvest Festival is part of the Tisbury School’s continued community outreach program. The event is hosted and sponsored by the Tisbury School PTO.

The Harvest Festival began ten years ago as an opportunity to reach out to members of the community by hosting an event that was affordable and accessible to all families, according to a press release. All games and activities are free of charge.

The fun will include an Island Grown Schools apple tasting booth and a visit by an alpaca from Island Alpaca farm in Oak Bluffs.

Electronics disposal day is Saturday

Martha’s Vineyard Community Services will host an Electronics Disposal Day on its campus on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 am to 2 pm.

Residents may dispose of electronics that include unwanted computers, cell phones, televisions, washers and dryers, microwaves and other electronic waste, for a small, tax-deductible fee ranging from $1 to $30.

Community Services is located at 111 Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road in Oak Bluffs, across from the high school. For more information, call 508-693-7900, ext. 229.
