The Edgartown Golf Club is offering a new junior program designed to introduce golf to juniors of all ability levels. The junior program aims to help youth play golf and have fun in the process. Robbie Rush, a Professional Golfers Association (PGA) member, will teach the series on Thursdays beginning on June 26 and concluding September 4.

The clinics run from 9 to 10:15 am for ages 7-11 and 10:30–11:45 am for ages 12-17. Each clinic is $20.

“Thanks to the PGA Sports Academy powered by UnitedHealthcare curriculum, our program will teach junior golf skills using physical movement, games, and fun,” said Mr. Rush in a press release to The Times. “Active play is the way young children learn and the PGA Sports Academy links fundamental golf motion into play, creating lifelong golfers. It’s just plain fun and the kids love it.”

Each session will provide equipment and near golf experiences, fitness, nutrition knowledge, and opportunity for on-and-off course athletics. Golf skills will be the basis for learning, along with sportsmanship and open play.
