Edgartown girls defeat Oak Bluffs to claim basketball title

The Edgartown Eagles girls basketball team defended their title with a dominating performance over the Oak Bluffs Blazers to clinch the Island championship with a 54-20 victory Wednesday, February 18. This marks the fourth straight year the Edgartown School team has taken home the title.

Using a frenetic full-court defense led by Amelia Craig and Kiley Estrella, the Eagles jumped out to a quick lead. Edgartown’s Devin Hill scored a game-high 36 points while Summer Cardoza scored six. Riley Yuhas and Sasha Lakis, who each scored six points, led the Oak Bluffs scoring.
