Tim Donald of Vineyard Haven won the Martha’s Vineyard Rod & Gun Club 2nd annual Rimfire Rifle Championship Competition, held Saturday and Sunday at the club range in Edgartown. Tim beat 11 other marksmen who fired at targets using .22 caliber rifles, taking five shots from a freestanding position and five shots from a controlled bench rest position.
The results were: 1. Tim Donald (Vineyard Haven) 2. Dick Carlson (Oak Bluffs) 3. Ray Sylvia (Vineyard Haven).
The Martha’s Vineyard Rod & Gun Club will be holding its annual Pistol championship on Saturday, Oct. 10.
