The Martha’s Vineyard Rod and Gun Club held its annual pistol championship competition Saturday. Jamie Craig of Edgartown captured the large-caliber pistol division, following a shoot-off with his son Riley, with a score of 340 out of 350. Jonathan Cristea from Edgartown captured the small-caliber division with a score of 320 out of 350.

The club has scheduled its annual deer-shoot shotgun competition for Sunday, Nov. 29, from 10 am to 4 pm. The contest is a prelude to the two-week shotgun season that begins on Monday, Nov. 30.
