Vineyard Youth Tennis (VYT) players Victoria Scott and Kat Roberts won their respective tournaments last weekend in Connecticut.
Kat Roberts won the Torrington girls 16 and under level 6 tournament. She defeated the No. 1 seed, and went on to win the final 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. Victoria Scott won the girls 16 and under level 7 tournament in Bloomfield, winning the final 6-2, 6-1. In a tournament a couple of weeks ago, another Vineyard Youth Tennis player, Nick Cranston, won his first USTA tournament ever, winning his flight in the boys 12 and under singles in Riverside, R.I. Owen Dibiaso, another VYT player, came in second.
